Our client is a Tier 1 main contractor with a turnover of €1bn, operating across the UK, Ireland, and mainland Europe. They specialise in delivering large-scale, complex construction projects, with a strong focus on Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, and Life Sciences

Due to sustained growth within their Data Centre division, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based on a hyper-scale data centre build in Groningen, Netherlands.

Key Responsibilities:
Review contract documentation to understand the project scope and commercial obligations.
Assess and analyse subcontractor and supplier tender returns.
Draft and issue formal contracts to members of the supply chain.
Monitor scope changes and prepare variation pricing accordingly.
Prepare and agree interim monthly applications for payment with the client.
Oversee subcontractor accounts, ensuring compliance with commercial and contractual terms.
Issue contractual notices and evaluate loss and expense or acceleration claims.
Produce timely and accurate cost estimates and reports.
Support the preparation of monthly commercial reports and forecasts.
Provide input on risk and assist in commercial decision-making.
Monitor and forecast project cash flow requirements.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal departments (e.g. design, procurement, project delivery).
Carry out other commercial duties as necessary to support the project team.

Candidate Requirements:
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or similar; or equivalent industry experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a quantity surveying or commercial role on major projects.
Strong knowledge of subcontract administration and contract law.
Experience across CSA and/or MEP disciplines is highly desirable.
Strong numerical and commercial acumen.
Confident in negotiations and capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP or similar systems is beneficial.
Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail.
Able to work to tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
